Grading System
Traditionally Wing Chun does not have a grading system so, to give students a guide and a level to strive for I have put together a cost effective system. let me tell you why I've done it this way, The problem with sashes is that they are a bit outdated and originally meant for holding up a pair of Chinese trousers, and not that trendy either, they are cheap enough but nobody knows how to tie them properly and these days most people train in track suit bottoms and a t-shirt so, really, a sash does not really go with the outfit so to speak, I thought about patches for each level but decided there was too much messing around with a school t-shirt and a badge, every time your grade goes up you need to change the badge so somebody as got a lot of sewing to do.
My final solution was to design four football jerseys.. everyone likes to wear
football jerseys right... and they go well with tracksuit bottoms right...

You should also remember that although you may have finished the formal part of the system this is only the beginning of longer, life long journey, a man who has said he has learned it all is truly cheating himself.
